Sickness Absence and Sustainable Return to Work Pilot

Sickness Absence and Sustainable Return to Work Pilot

Help us understand what works when it comes to return to work.

We are looking to connect with large organisations in Yorkshire and the Humber to take part in a new pilot study to improve the support and return to work process provided to employees on long-term sick leave and following their return to work.

Funded by the NIHR and in collaboration with Loughborough University, the University of Sheffield, University of Leicester and RDaSH NHS Trust. The study is based on the latest evidence and research from leading workplace health experts across the UK.

Large organisations in Yorkshire and the Humber are invited to take part in a new pilot study to improve the support and return to work process provided to employees on long-term sick leave and following their return to work.

The study is based on the latest evidence and research from leading workplace health experts across the UK.

Organisations that join the pilot study will either receive an insight into their return to work process or a set of best-practice resources to try out, including:

• short, easy-to-follow online toolkits for employees on sick leave and their line managers that aim to support well-being during sickness absence and ensure that the employee's return to work is smooth and sustainable

• short online webinars for senior leaders on best practice in managing sickness absence
