IGLOO Sickness Absence and Sustainable Return to Work Pilot

IGLOO Sickness Absence and Sustainable Return to Work Pilot

Funded by the NIHR and in collaboration with Loughborough University, the University of Sheffield, University of Leicester and RDaSH NHS Trust

We are delighted to have been funded by the NIHR to run pilot study to test a new IGLOO toolkit designed to improve the support and return to work process provided to employees on long-term sick leave and following their return to work.

The study is based on the latest evidence and research from leading workplace health experts across the UK.

We are working with nine organisations across the North, whose employees have access to a set of best-practice resources to try out, including:

• short, easy-to-follow online toolkits for employees on sick leave and their line managers that aim to support well-being during sickness absence and ensure that the employee's return to work is smooth and sustainable

• short online webinars for senior leaders on best practice in managing sickness absence
