We are delighted to share we are involved in a research project about Self-management of workers with long-term conditions, led by Loughborough University, funded by the NIHR.

The Project

There are 13 million workers in the UK with long-term health problems or disabilities. To help people stay well at work, the UK government and professional groups want employers to support workers to self-manage their health. Yet, there is no specific advice for employers to help them achieve this goal.

This project, led by Dr David Maidment at Loughborough University, aims to bring together different groups of researchers, employers, civil servants, healthcare, professionals, and workers to help us help us how to best to translate research into practical tools that can help improve workplace self-management.

How you can get involved

We are seeking participation from employers, workers, professional bodies, charities and integrated care systems. IF you could help us explore ways to support individuals with long-term conditions and disabilities in self-managing at work please get in touch
